Dr. Wu is currently serving as the Undergraduate Program Director (UPD) of the Mechanical Engineering Department. As of 2024, the department has over 600 undergraduate students. Regular administrative duties for the UPD includes course petition review, course equivalency review, transfer student eligibility review, ABET assessment, curriculum development, and laboratory facility update. In particular, Dr. Wu offers weekly office hours during the semester that is available to every Mechanical Engineering student at UMBC.
Dr. Wu also holds the open house event to prospective students and parents. Local high school teachers are welcome to contact Dr. Wu for a recruiting presentation. External sponsors are encouraged to reach out to develop collaboration plan and sponsorship.
